New associates join Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC

Attorneys Alexis L Peters and William T “Billy” Clark have joined the northern New England law firm Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC where they will practice from the firm’s Burlington office. They began working at the firm on Sept. 4.

Clark holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English and History and English Literature, respectively, from the University of Vermont and earned the juris doctor degree at Boston College Law School, where he graduated summa cum laude in 2016. He was a law clerk for Judge Douglas P Woodlock of the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts and Judge Norman H Stahl at the First Circuit Court of Appeals in Boston. He was a summer associate at a large law firm in Massachusetts and a legal intern at Keurig Green Mountain in Vermont. Clark will work in the litigation group at DRM.

Peters graduated summa cum laude from Vermont Law School and also holds a master’s degree in environmental policy from the University of Cambridge in England and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Boston University. She served as a law clerk for Justice Maria Araujo Kahn and Judge Ingrid L. Moll at the Connecticut Appellate Court and as a judicial extern for Judge Geoffrey W Crawford at the US District Court for the District of Vermont in Rutland. Peters interned at BCM Environmental and Land Law, PLLC in Concord, NH and was a student clinician at the Environmental and Natural Resources Law Clinic in So Royalton. Her practice will focus on real estate law and litigation as well as energy, environmental and telecommunications law.
