The Nerdery Appoints New CEO Adrian Slobin
As CEO, Slobin will assume leadership of The Nerdery and lead the company through the next phase of its evolution towards a strategic, technology- and experience-led consultancy.

“The market for digital business consulting is dynamic and full of promise; we see it every day with the clients we're talking to and the work we're doing,” said Slobin. “The Nerdery's distinct combination of the right expertise in strategy, design and technology coupled with an agility in how we work puts us in a strong position to win in this exciting environment. I couldn't be more thrilled to shepherd the next stage of The Nerdery's future."

As CEO, Slobin will assume leadership of The Nerdery and lead the company through the next phase of its evolution towards a strategic, technology- and experience-led consultancy. Since the company was founded in 2003, The Nerdery has evolved from designing and building software products to advising enterprises on achieving business outcomes, regardless of the scale of transformation.

“In the year since he joined The Nerdery, Adrian has had an immense impact on the company — by improving our operational efficiency, driving stronger outcomes for our clients, and by providing the visionary, strategic leadership that our team needs. After spending months talking with other experts in our industry on what type of leader would be best equipped to take us to the next level, it became very clear that Adrian was the right person for the job," said Mike Derheim, co-founder and Chairman of the Board.

“Throughout our CEO search, Adrian stood out,” added Mike Schmidt, co-founder of The Nerdery. “Welcoming the opportunity to lead change, Adrian will strategically push the boundaries of the organization in a thoughtful, deliberate way. Adrian is committed to always growing our capabilities and expanding our opportunities. He believes in leading with strategy for deep, meaningful client engagements and has all the intangibles of the person we need in the top leadership spot.”

Slobin joined The Nerdery in 2017 after 17 years guiding SapientNitro (now SapientRazorfish) as the leader of its Midwest region and North American head of business transformation services. He has a long track record of building trusted partnerships with clients through a combination of strategic advising and strong delivery and has worked with Fortune 100 clients in automotive, CPG, financial services, healthcare, restaurants, retail and telecommunications. Adrian has spoken publicly about the future of IoT, retail banking, marketing and analytics, and has been featured in numerous publications, including Ad Age and NPR Marketplace.
