Angola gear up to expand internet access in rural zones
In the framework of the project, whose onset is slated for 2020, the Angolan president, João Lourenço, received on Monday in Luanda, the manager of the US firm Greg Wyler.
Speaking at the end of the meeting, the US manger, who did not disclose the amount to be spent, said that he has analyzed with Angolan Head of State, among other issues, the general lines of the project implementation.
According to Greg Wyler, the choice for Angola is due to the fact that it presents a considerable growth potential in the telecommunication field, besides of the commitment of the country’s State to mitigate some hardships people living in rural zones have faced to have access to telecommunication services.
